HuntGrid Legal
Privacy Policy
Effective August 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GridSynx LLC ("GridSynx," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use HuntGrid, including the HuntGrid mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: information such as your name, hunter name or display name, email address, username, account identifiers, authentication information, and settings.
- Location information: precise or approximate device location when you grant location permission or use features that require location, including mapping, hunt coordination, waypoints, tracking, or location sharing.
- Hunting and field content: stand, blind, feeder, gear, route, waypoint, property, harvest, sighting, note, and other information you choose to enter.
- Photos and uploaded content: images, attachments, and other files you choose to upload.
- Party and social information: hunt party membership, invitations, roles, messages, shared locations, and other information used to coordinate with people you choose.
- Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, push-notification identifiers, diagnostics, security events, and similar technical data needed to operate and protect the Service.
- Purchase information: subscription status, product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction-related identifiers, and similar purchase information supplied by an app marketplace or payment service. We do not receive your full payment-card number from app-store purchases.
- Support and communications: information you provide when you contact GridSynx, request early access, report a problem, or otherwise communicate with us.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and secure accounts and authenticate users;
- provide maps, location-aware features, hunt party coordination, weather-related features, logs, uploads, notifications, and other HuntGrid functionality;
- sync your information across supported devices and restore account data;
- process and verify subscriptions or paid-feature entitlements;
- respond to support requests and service communications;
- detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Location Information and Sharing
HuntGrid may process precise location only when permitted by your device settings and required by the features you choose to use. You can control location permissions through your device settings, although disabling location may prevent some features from working.
If you choose to share your location or other field information with a hunt party or another user, HuntGrid will make that information available according to the sharing feature you selected. People you share with may be able to retain or disclose information outside HuntGrid, so use sharing features only with people you trust.
4. How We Share Information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- With people you choose: when you join or create a hunt party, send an invitation, share a location, or otherwise use a collaborative feature.
- With service providers: companies that help us provide hosting, storage, authentication, notifications, mapping, weather, analytics, customer support, subscription management, security, and similar operational services. They may process information only for the services they provide to us and subject to appropriate restrictions.
- For legal or safety reasons: when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; protect rights or property; investigate fraud or abuse; or address a serious safety or security risk.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
- With your consent: when you direct or authorize us to share information.
We do not disclose your precise location to third parties for their own independent advertising or marketing purposes without your consent.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service. Retention periods may vary by data type. Deleted information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, or records we are legally required to retain.
6. Your Choices and Controls
You may be able to update profile information and app settings within HuntGrid. Device-level controls may allow you to change location, photo, notification, and other permissions. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain account information by contacting GridSynx through our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
7. Account Deletion
If HuntGrid provides an in-app account-deletion option, you may use it to request deletion of your account. You may also contact GridSynx to request deletion. Some information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for protecting your account credentials and device access.
9. Children's Privacy
HuntGrid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Service, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
10. Third-Party Services
HuntGrid may integrate with or rely on third-party services such as app marketplaces, maps, weather providers, device operating systems, subscription services, and other infrastructure providers. Those third parties may collect information directly from you under their own privacy policies when you interact with their services.
11. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain uses or disclosures of personal information. You may submit a privacy request through our contact page. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we may provide additional notice through the Service or another reasonable method.
